The Membrane Structure & Function (MSAF) is one of the largest subgroups of the Biophysical Society, with 800 members. MSAF meets during the yearly meeting of the society. Fran Barrera, associate professor of BCMB, has been voted by the members Chair-Elect of the subgroup. The decision was announced during the 2020 meeting of the Biophysical Society held in San Diego.
