Nathan Brady, a BCMB graduate student in the Bruce Lab, won an Outstanding Speaker award at the 4th SMALP Conference that was held in Utrecht, The Netherlands. This meeting focuses on membrane biochemistry and biophysics as well as developments in polymer chemistry and applications to membrane biology. Nate’s talk focused on his research examining and optimizing the integration of photosystem I that has been encapsulated within SMALP native nanodiscs into biohybrid solar devices for the sustainable production of electricity.
