Shpak Lab Publishes in Plant Physiology about Regulation of Meristem

The lab of Elena Shpak just published an article, EPFL Signals in the Boundary Region of the SAM Restrict Its Size and Promote Leaf Initiation, in Plant Physiology. In this they document a critical role for the Erecta family of receptors in the control of shoot apical meristem and thus shows that they are important in the development of all aerial tissue. Pawel Kosentka, who recently graduated from BCMB with his doctorate, is the lead author. Alexander Overholt, a current first year student is also an author on this paper.
