Dan Roberts was awarded the Disability Champion Award by Student Disabilities services for his commitment to creating an inclusive culture as director of the BCMB summer REU program for Deaf/hard-of-hearing undergraduates.

Francisco Barrera chaired the Membrane Structure and Function subgroup at the 2022 annual Biophysical Society meeting in San Francisco and he co-organized a session on membrane proteins at the annual meeting in Philadelphia of the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology

Amit Joshi was awarded a Maximizing Investigators’ Research Award (MIRA) from the National Institutes of Health.
