Jennifer L Morrell-Falvey

Joint Faculty

Dr. Jennifer Morrell-Falvey is a Senior Scientist and Leader of the Molecular and Cellular Imaging group in the Biosciences Division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Dr. Morrell-Falvey is a biologist with expertise in cell and molecular biology and fluorescence imaging methods. Her research focuses on using imaging techniques to investigate biological systems at multiple scales, from macromolecular interactions and cellular signaling to community structure. A main topic of her recent work is investigating the mechanisms that promote plant association by microbes using a combination of molecular genetics, live cell imaging methods, and super resolution microscopy. Jennifer received a Ph.D. in genetics from Purdue University in 1997 and did her postdoctoral training at Vanderbilt School of Medicine/HHMI. She also holds a Joint Faculty appointment in the Department of Biochemistry and Cellular and Molecular Biology at the University of Tennessee.
